Why Learning During Morning Hours Is Good For You


Ever wondered, when you start learning something new during morning hours it seems that you
are able to grasp it better. Or maybe, concentrate more deeply on the subject. The fact is, there
are more chances of learning some skill or theory in a better and more productive way when
you start during morning hours. And, there is a psychological reason to prove this theory too.

Here are a few reasons as to why morning is the best time to learn something:

Refreshed state of mind and body - This is the most obvious reason for increased mental
sharpness in the morning. After a good night’s sleep, a refreshed mind and body is more
receptive to new information. Moreover, a healthy breakfast is cherry on the cake as it gives
 required energy to the body to stay active.

Sunlight makes our brains alert - During morning hours, the sunlight provides as a source of
awakened senses and alert mind. Apart from keeping you alert, natural light also puts less strain
on your eyes while studying or reading. In fact, it is beneficial for your eyes when they are
exposed to indirect sunlight.

No disrupted sleep schedule - This may not be a good news for the night owls, but sleeping
on time and having at least 7-8 hours of sleep is essential for proper functioning of human body
as well as mind. The famous words, “Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy,
wealthy and WISE”, can’t be more true. A full night sleep undoubtedly relaxes your mind so
much that it becomes ready to receive and absorb any complex information.

Scientifically Proven - Now, here comes the proof to back the above information. According to
a study, brain cells are more receptive in the early hours of the day. Science says, leaning is
more effective during 10 am to 2 pm when our brain is in acquisition mode. This is especially
true for learning something new.

As each of you have different learning styles, there are no right or wrong times of the day/night
to study. Some of you are best at learning during morning hours, while some are more alert
during evening/night time. Irrespective of your learning styles, the above listed benefits make
morning a better choice to study or read or learn something new or even revise a previously
studied subject.
Nevertheless, you shall try and decide for you the most productive time of the day with respect
